Late May is a glorious time in the orchard, with the blossom in full bloom and (often) sunny dry and warm weather. Owing to the cold spring, the blossom came pretty much at the same time. It was all out and looking beautiful for the visit by North Cumbria Orchard Group members on May 20th. Pictured is the Tremlett’s Bitter, which has now gone completely biennial – itlooks like 2018 will be a “on” year!
NCOG members were also treated to a tasting of the ciders and we all decided that the 2016 Kingston Black / Brown Snout was excellent and ready to be released. This will be bottled and available for sale shortly, alongside the Tremlett’s Bitter that was released at Christmas. Sadly we are now out of stock of the Orchard Magic, but hope to do a similar blend in the not-too-distant future.
